  • Y5/6 Basketball

Wed 24 Jan 2018 Mrs Hobbs

So, so proud of our 6 year 5 and 6 basketballers- What a TEAM!!!

After finishing as runners up in our group stage of the competition, we made it through to the semi-finals as 'best runners-up'. Everybody took a turn to sub and shout encouragement from the sidelines, so everyone was valued in whatever role they were in for all of the matches.

As a result of great teamwork, the team won their semi-final comfortably and made it through to the final. They were up against a very tough opposition who had won all of their group matches in the region of 12-0 - so comfortably. Although we lost, it was end to end and a well fought match. In the end, we lost narrowly 6 points to 2. Well done guys!

  • Young Voices 2018!

    Sun 21 Jan 2018 K Hambleton

What an incredible experience 25 of our pupils have had at the start of term!! Throughout the Autumn term children from KS2 have been attending a weekly club with the lovely Heather from Stage Screen so to learn a huge number of songs for the Young Voices Concert at The Genting Arena in Birmingham. This is the first time Moira has been able to attend (it is extremely popular!) and the concert we were part of was one of many across the country. Our night alone housed over 6500 children...all singing together to a live band, alongside professional performers; singers and dancers. Urban Stride proved to be particularly popular!! The event was absolutely amazing...we all loved the experience and have already placed our interest for 2019! #talent #once in a lifetime #loving music

  • Bikeability

    Sun 21 Jan 2018 K Hambleton

The Reception and Year 1 pupils have had a wonderful week learning and practising new skills on their two wheels! They were all so sensible and have made great progress, building confidence and enthusiasm and learning how to be safe.
