  • Merry Christmas everyone !

    Fri 15 Dec 2017 K Hambleton
What an amazing week! Schools are such busy places leading up to Christmas and the corridors and classrooms are full of decorations, songs, crafts, and much, much  more. The children have provided wonderful entertainment and have got us in the Christmas mood with a Key Stage 2 concert at the ‘Moira Miners’, a Reception Nativity and 2 KS1 performances with a visit from some unusual friends! They were all amazing! The cooks provided us with a superb Christmas lunch where lots of fun was had! Finally, Christmas parties, a special visitor and a pantomime made the end of term very special. Have a fabulous Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
  • Key Stage 2 Enterprise

    Fri 08 Dec 2017 K.Hambleton
Key Stage 2 had to use all their skills to plan, budget for, purchase and create items to sell this week and we had some amazing results. It was wonderful to see so many parents support this event and the children were not only excited but also very proud of their efforts. We are waiting for the grand total of what the children raised. #creativity #teamwork #financial understanding #co-operation
  • Year 3/4 parent lunch

    Tue 05 Dec 2017 K.hambleton
We love having visitors to our school and today was another opportunity to have a lunch with your child - this time the turn of Team 3 and Team 4. We received wonderful comments about the quality of the food and how lovely it was to spend this social time with your child. Thank you for joining us!
  • And More Sport- Winners of Spirit of the Games Award!!!

Mon 04 Dec 2017 Mrs Hobbs

We have played our final match of the group stages and sadly lost this match. In a week where many children were poorly, those of who remained pulled together as a team. Although we suffered quite a heavy defeat, it was commented that we still held our heads high and fought hard. Well done everyone who played.

We also had our final cross country of 2017 on Saturday. A selection of children turned out to a tough course. Thanks again to everyone involved- Results to follow.

Finally, last week saw a total of 23 year 5/6 children take part in a dodgeball. Some mixed with other children and made new teams and then 2 more groups were involved taking part against other schools. Everyone involved was a credit to the school. So much so that we were noticed for great sportsmanship and resilience. This in turn meant that we won 'The Spirit of the Games' award. Fantastic news!!! We were very close to getting one team through to the semi-final and missed out only on the number of players still in at the end of the matches. We had great fun! Well done again!!!
