We teach our children how to read using synthetic phonics.

What is phonics?

How often will my child be taught about phonics?

Your child will have a phonics lesson each day in Reception, Year One and Year Two. The sessions are approximately 20 minutes long. You might be surprised at the fast pace in which the new sounds are introduced but this is to enable children to begin to read words quickly.

How can i help my child with phonics?

Reading with your child on a daily basis. In addition, there are lots of websites that have wonderful phonics activities that your child can access.
