At present, PSHE is not a statutory curriculum area although this will change from September 2020 when Relationships and Health Education become mandatory. PSHE stands for Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education. These are areas of great importance and will play a vital role in the lives of our children as they grow and develop into resilient adults. It underpins the ethos of Moira and part of everything we do as well as the discrete lessons the children have each week. At present we are following the Cambridgeshire Personal Development Programme as the framework for teaching and learning.
To support our teaching and learning, we have purchased a set of books specifically for Sex and Relationship Education units. A book list is in the document below. If you would like to view any of the titles, please contact the office to arrange a convenient time.
Units of work covering anti-bullying, sex and relationship education and drug education are revisited each academic year.
The remaining units are taught on a two year rolling programme.
