L.O. To draw and write a setting description

Create a spooky setting for your suspense extract invention.

Draw it and colour it in if you wish.

Write a paragraph (5-6 sentences) to describe your setting. Use plenty of adjectives, similes and the senses.

What can you see?

What can you hear?

What can you smell?

What can you taste?

What can you smell?

 

Remember suspense features:

 

Describe how a character is feeling (or thoughts)

Describe a sudden noise

A question the reader may be thinking

Short sentences

Describe the senses-hear,smell,taste,touch,see

Powerful verbs

Showing the character is scared.

Empty words-someone, something, it
