Worth-it is a local social enterprise, based in Coalville specialising in supporting schools to apply practical approaches to increasing resilience and developing mental wellbeing.

They have worked with over 150 schools and over 800 pupils to help increase resilience, thinking skills, communication skills and self awareness. Established in 2011 Worth-it have been involved in multiple projects bringing a new and practical approach to increasing resilience in children, young people, families and staff teams.

In 2016 in partnership with Leicester NHS Partnership Trust and School Development and Support Agency Worth-it was commissioned to deliver a Schools Resilience Programme. Twenty schools, both primary and secondary within Leicestershire and Leicester City have taken part.

Moira Primary School is one of the schools that have taken part in this robust evidence based programme and are working in collaboration with Worth-it to apply and utilise strategies, tools and techniques learnt during a four day training programme to underpin and develop the resilience of our pupils and staff. This programme fits with our “Together we Try” ethos really well.

As part of the programme Resilience Champions were identified to promote resilience, emotional and mental wellbeing within their school. The champions will be rolling out different strategies that will positively impact on your children leading them towards more positive outcomes. If you would like to find out more about how to increase your child’s resilience please chat to our School Resilience Champions; Mrs Leeson, Mrs Cook or Mrs Hambleton.
