School Uniform Return to Home A uniform was introduced in January 1995 and has proved to be very popular. We believe that the children look smart in uniform and that it gives them a sense of belonging to our School. Aims Our policy for children’s school uniform is based on the belief that a school uniform:  | promotes a sense of pride in the school |  | engenders a feeling of community and belonging |  | is practical and smart |  | identifies the children with the school |  | is not distracting in class (as fashion clothes might be) |  | makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance |  | is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents |  | has been designed with health and safety in mind |
Our school colour is royal blue and the uniform is as follows: Boys | Girls | White Polo type t-shirt (with* or without school logo) White shirt (long or short sleeved) Royal blue sweatshirt (with school logo)* Grey/black trousers Grey/black shorts Sensible shoes (not trainers) | White Polo type t-shirt (with* or without school logo) White blouse (long or short sleeved) Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (with school logo)* Grey/black skirt, pinafore dress or trousers Pale blue checked dress (summer only) Sensible shoes (not trainers and not high heeled) |

The wearing of jewellery is not allowed for health and safety reasons. If your child has pierced ears please make sure that only studs are used and these studs must be removed for all Physical Education and swimming lessons.
